We're very excited that our 1st tasting for 2020 is with these guys...

KOVAL distillery is taking a fresh approach to making quality single-barrel whiskies.
Experimenting with alternative grains, using only the heart-cut from the stills (the purest liquor in aroma and flavour), and being able to track each bottle back to an individual farm, are just a few ways KOVAL whiskies are making waves.

The result is an amazing palate of flavours that has led to this distillery winning over 100 international awards since opening their doors in 2008.

This tasting is one not to be missed.

On the menu...

KOVAL Millet Single Barrel
With a mash bill of 100% millet this single grain expression is a truly singular drinking experience. Notes of nut and vanilla define the palate, with a clean and bright finish.

KOVAL Bourbon Single Barrel
With a mash bill of 51% corn and 49% millet, this dram is balanced, approachable, and unparalleled. The unusual grain combination provides notes of mango chutney and vanilla on the palate, with a peppery caramel finish.

KOVAL Rye Single Barrel
A unique mash bill of 100% rye grain, all locally and sustainably sourced in the Midwestern US. This fresh and light whiskey offers mellow and somewhat sweet notes of maple and candy corn, with a classically spicy finish.

KOVAL Four Grain Single Barrel
Distilled from a mash bill of oat, malted barley, rye, and wheat.  Aged in heavily charred new oak, and bottled single barrel at 94 proof, these four grains define its depth with a banana nose, creamy palate, and spicy finish.

And to pay homage to traditional Scotch whisky, you'll also be tasting -

Old Sport Blended Malt Scotch
Named after the legendary 'Old Sport' - an eccentric yet traditional gentleman. Old Sport is a small batch and rare blend from a selection of Scotland's finest distilleries in the Highlands. Aged in Bourbon casks then finished in specially imported XO Cognac barrels. The resulting whisky is a unique combination - rich, smooth, fruity and nutty.
