It's been a while between Scotch Clubs but this is a great one to kick off the silly season....

On Tuesday 29th Oct we invite you to try some delightful drams from two outstanding and very diverse distilleries - Westland(Seattle, USA), and Bruichladdich (Islay, Scotland). You'll enjoy a cocktail on arrival followed by these fabulous whiskies - 

Westland's Sherry :described as a whisky to "pour over your pancakes!" Matured on Oloroso & Pedro Ximénez sherry casks this dram is fruity and sweet with a finish of crème de cassis and vanilla malt.
Westland's American Oak : caramel, buttered bread, and a touch of cigar box on the palate, then finishing with peppery oak, and a hint of pear. This is the distillery's core single malt whiskey, matured exclusively in American oak casks.
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie :representing a classic, unpeated style of whisky. Made from 100% Scottish barley, the palate is of red apples and white grapes, with touches of sweet cinnamon and brown sugar. It is softly coastal with a sweet mineral rich finish of toffee and honey.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Islay Barley :this well peated rendition is made exclusively with barley grown on the isle of Islay, and matured in 75% first-fill American whisky casks and 25% second-fill red wine casks (Syrah and Figero.) BBQ char, white grape, baked earth, and subtle minerality on the palate. FInishing on biscuits, salted caramel and a waft of coastal smoke.
